DO I HAVE TO PERSONALLY MANAGE MY SCOOTER’S JUNGLE
FRANCHISE?
A. The day-to-day operations of your first location should
be handled by you in the start-up phase but, a Scooter’s
Jungle trained manager under your full time supervision
is acceptable.

WHAT INITIAL SERVICES DO I RECEIVE?
A. Our team assists you during the development phase of
your franchise with site selection, store layout and design,
equipment specification, product procurement, management
training, and more. We will work with you to ensure that
everything goes smoothly for the opening of your store.

WHAT TRAINING DO I RECEIVE AS A NEW FRANCHISEE?
A. Each new franchise owner and store manager is required
to attend a Ten (10) day training program at the Scooter’s
Jungle corporate headquarters in Aliso Viejo, CA. The program
consists of both in-store and classroom instruction, and
includes all necessary information and training to become
a Scooter’s Jungle franchisee. In opening days
of your operation, we will be on hand to provide additional
training to you and your staff and to assist in the opening
of your store. Further, we will come back to your
store 60-90 days after opening for 2 days to provide additional
training and support.

WHAT CONTINUING ASSISTANCE CAN I EXPECT TO RECEIVE?
A. The support and assistance you receive is comprehensive
and complete. It begins the moment you are accepted as
a franchise owner and continues throughout your tenure
with us. Our team provides on-going support and assistance
in the efficient operation of your store, all intended
to maximize your gross volume and bottom line profits.

ARE THERE STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES IN PLACE, AND
HOW DO I MAINTAIN QUALITY CONTROL?
A. Yes. Scooter’s Jungle has developed systems and
operating procedures that place you at the forefront of
the family entertainment business. These are designed to
give you the maximum benefit in the operation of your Jungle. Our
on-going research, training, and support will enable you
to maintain the standards of quality, consistency and uniformity
for which our stores are known. You will also receive a “Scooter’s
Jungle Confidential Operations Manual.” All
products are purchased from national or local suppliers
in accordance with Scooter’s Jungle’s standards
and specifications. All suppliers must be approved by Scooter’s
Jungle.

WHAT IS THE “SCOOTER’S JUNGLE CONFIDENTIAL
OPERATIONS MANUAL”?
A. A comprehensive manual that contains the “Scooter’s
Jungle System” which includes product preparation
and service methods, personnel procedures, purchasing,
pricing, control techniques, and all policies, standards
and procedures necessary to operate an Scooter’s
Jungle franchise. We also provide a detailed Pre-Opening
Manual to ensure the process is easy to follow.
Q. DO I HAVE AN INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM?
A. Yes. Scooter’s Jungle uses an
easy to understand and operate Point of Sale (POS)
computer and software system for maintaining each
event, inventory, bookkeeping, purchasing, payroll,
management reporting and more. You will be trained
in the operation of the POS computer system during
your initial and opening training.

HOW DO I SELECT THE RIGHT SITE?
A. Location, Location, Location! With the assistance
of a qualified commercial real estate agent, you will identify
potential locations. We provide tools for reviewing sites
formulated on experience-based criteria, and provide
consultation regarding the selection of potential sites.
We will provide you with a facility design layout for each
new location. Typically, stores will operate out
of leased premises in light industrial business complexes
and retail type shopping centers.

HOW MUCH IS THE FRANCHISE FEE?
A. The base franchise fee is $30,000 for a single arena
or $35,000 for a double arena or $45,000 for a triple arena.

WHAT IS THE TERM OF THE FRANCHISE AGREEMENT?
A. The term of the franchise agreement is ten (10) years.

WHAT HAPPENS AT THE END OF THE 10 YEAR TERM?
A. You may renew the franchise agreement for consecutive
additional option terms equal to the new or extended term
of the lease.

CAN I SELL MY SCOOTER’S JUNGLE STORE AND TRANSFER
MY FRANCHISE?
A. Yes. You can sell your Scooter’s Jungle Store
and transfer your franchise with our prior consent.

WHAT IS THE INVESTMENT REQUIRED TO OPEN A SCOOTER’S
JUNGLE FRANCHISE?
A. The estimated initial investment required ranges from
$264,950 (single jungle) to $778,500 for a double jungle
with a multi-use room. The minimum net worth
= $500,000 and minimum liquid cash = $200,000.
Q. HOW MUCH IS THE CONTINUING
ROYALTY FEE?
A. The continuing royalty fee is 5.5% on sales up to $400,000. To
encourage higher gross sales, we lowered the royalty fee
to 5% on sales from $400,001 to $1,000,000 and 4.5% on
sales above $1,000,001.
